About This Course
Experienced and novice project/program managers agree, communications is a critically important part of their work. It’s also an activity in which they are engaged in a majority of their time. There is no room for sloppy communications skills where key project and program communications can be misconstrued, misinterpreted or ignored resulting in significant impact to your initiatives. The primary objectives for project and program-related communications are the sharing of key information in a manner the recipients can most easily access and interpret, presented in a way they can most effectively use them. In this course, Eric Norman examines effective communications techniques, and focuses on both the message and the medium for communicating it. You’ll learn the real definition of communications and why carefully managing communications is so important, along with communications planning, content, method, mode, and how the medium enhances the message.
Earn 2 Professional Development Units (PDUs) that can be applied towards the following certifications: PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-BA;1 PDU can be applied towards the PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, and PMI-SP certifications.
This course is included in Eric Norman’s Series, Preparing Project and Program Leaders for Organizations of the Future. It is also available in the PDU Passport, our all-access pass to every InSite PDU course.
